i was reading xiaxue's latest entry dated on the 28 Dec... ..
i hate to say tt but i have to agreed w wat she had said.. ..
this is not the first time tt i have heard abt the molesting cases tt happened during the festive seasons.. ..
the best part is .... it has been happening continuously for the past few years liao.. yet disappointingly our law enforcers din seem to do anythi abt it.
i was reading abt how a reader comment tt our law enforcers were busy stopping pple from jaywalking and maintaining traffic flow instead of controlling crowd rowdiness.. ..
ya.. i too have doubts abt their presences... every yr we c a lot of police present in these celebration areas & we do have traffic police to ctl traffic so by rite such molest cases dun have rite? but sadly it does... ... & it's still happening nw as it seems tt till nw nothi has been done to prevent such happenings.. .. the law enforcers seems to b physically present but doing nothing .. ..
if i remembered correctly, it was even reported in the TNP b4 abt how a group of gals were being molested and groped during countdown.. ... ..
tt's the main reason y i now totally avoid free admission outdoor festive celebrations
those pple esp the foreign workers ... they appear in groups lor.. & ya.. the spray cans r their weapons... they jus happily go sprayi & molesting pple when they gt a chance knowi tt they have a high chance of getti away from such acts as normally Singporeans arenot vocal... even if the victims are vocal .. .. the crowds can b disappointing.. as in the crowd are likely to stand there & jus look c look c.. ..
even if u r w friends, they too can b too pai seh to stand up for u... yeap.. tt's wat i have seen b4 as well .. ..
normally.. even if u r daring to stand up for urself or others.. pple may give u the "y dun u drop this issue" look...
thus now with all the festive seasons coming & the mentality of most locals, they are all the more happy buyi spray cans & go round spraying to get their 'pleasures' . .. ..
i guess the only way to do so is to totally avoid these places.. ..
go celebrate at places where u have to pay.. ..
of cos.. if the admission fees is so affordable.. u will c their prescences too.. ..
i guess the only time i feel so unsafe in S'pore is during these celebration times.. ..
& the sad thing is each yr, there r unknowing young victims tt din know as it mayb their first time celebrating w friends.. ..
last but nt least.. i know tt not all foreign workers r like tt..some r really nice & polite... i only condemn those tt does such lewd acts.. ..
now i'll probably hope tt Xiaxue's dis current entry will create a bigger whoo-haa than her tt previous handicapped toilet entry .. den hopefully somethi will b done to improve on such situations.. .
meanwhile.. all my dear friends.. pls protect ur gfs while out celebrating & b a man to stand up for them when needed...
as for us gals.. .. pls self-protect urself & ya.. dun hestitate to scream, shout or even grab tt person who did somethi funny to u.. ..
remember .. by letting off such idiots.. u r jus encouraging them to commit more such acts..
